December 8, 1939 – March 7, 2013
On Thursday, March 7, 2013 Mr. Victor Ivan Marchuk of Bonnyville passed away at the age of 73 years. Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janet Marchuk, his children; Stanley Marchuk, Sherri (James) Weldon, Michael Marchuk and Victor Marchuk Jr., his sisters; Irene Sabatier and Rose Ann (Wayne) Herbert and his brother Steve Marchuk. Victor was predeceased by his parents John and Katherine Marchuk.
A prayer vigil was held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Bonnyville. Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the interment followed at the Big Meadow Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers were Walter Chyz, Marcel Hebert, Raymond Horichaka, Bill Loza, John Roux and John Welecki; pallbearers were James Weldon, Bruce Sabatier, Wayne Herbert, Brian Chyz, Troy Clipperton and Doug Johnson.
