My condolence to Maynard’s wife and family. Although the family doesn’t know me, I met Maynard many years ago through the Grand Center Gymkhana Club. He was very liked man and it was a pleasure to speak to him and watch his races. I seen him a few years ago while working bingo and he always knew me and asked how I was doing. He will be missed by his family and very many in the community. Rest in Pease Maynard

Joyce and Family,
Our deepest condolences on the loss of such a very special person. Bringing back fond memories of our friendship meeting at Parker, then having you spend a winter in our Guest House in Osoyoos, followed by our frequent meetings and conversations at our favorite entertainment center. On behalf of myself, my wife Vera and our family - sending heartfelt condolences to Late Maynard's wife Joyce and family. Maynard was a thoughtful and genuinely warm human being and Nehiyow (Cree) and Cursilista brother - I was blessed to have been a part of his life's path. I pray - God blesses and rests his soul!

My Thoughts and Prayers are with you Joyce and Family at this sad time.
Always remember Maynard when I would meet him at many chuckwagon races after he retired. He alway had time to stop and chat also ask about my parents ( Bob and Laura Napper) how they were doing. Dad and Mom alway talked so fondly about Maynard and you Joyce.

I remember when Joyce and Maynard visited us in California on more than one occasion and when we visited them at their Winter place and, of course, Cold Lake. Maynard’s sense of humor was always a highlight. I remember how he enjoyed Yosemite and Tahoe and would “get me” with his stories and “facts” where he would make me think he was sharing information but it would be a joke, and I would feel so silly for falling for it. And I remember his helping us like the true, loving, caring big brother and father figure he was to many.

My condolences to Joyce and the family, relatives and friends of Maynard. We made our Cursillo together in May 2009, at the St. Paul Friendship Centre, sponsored by Saddle Lake Cree FN. We were table mates and later we travelled together to other Cursillos, for several years. On our travels we talked history and our faith in God. He often had a smile and invited me to his place for a Cursillo sing-a-long, with others. In 2012, he invited me to their Thanksgiving dinner. In 2015, he and Joyce attended our wedding. The last time I saw him was at the Credit Union, last Fall. Rest in peace, my friend.
