Heartbroken to hear of Jarrett's passing. I was working in a group home that Jarrett was living in at the time, we connected to one another dearly, through funny YouTube videos and creating art together.
Someone who kept to himself, it was a welcome surprise when Jarrett attended creativity nights with me. He would enjoy pizza and playing on the piano, sometimes painting as well.
I brought paints and canvas' to work once, Jarrett was hesitant but sat down and painted with me. We talked about nihilism, and the beauty in nothingness. He painted this beautiful mountain scene. He offered me to take it, but I wanted him to keep it for his upcoming move to an apartment on his own. I took a picture because I wanted to have that memory. Jarrett also inspired a painting of mine that day, which I will cherish even more now.
I'm so sorry to Jarretts family for this loss. I will be smudging and praying for you all.
