Obituary of Mary Hewak

December 2, 1927 ~ January 24, 2022

With saddened hearts but treasuring a life well lived the Hewak family announces the passing of their mother, Mary Hewak on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Bonnyville, Alberta at the age of 94 years.

Mary is lovingly survived by her children: Helen (Bill) Ostashek, Tony (Louise) Hewak, David (Iris) Hewak, Terry (Tracy) Hewak, Judy Mickalyk; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mary was predeceased by her husband: Mike Hewak (2015); son-in-law: Kelly Flathers; parents: Maria & Stephan Romanchuk; siblings: Mike, Paul, Evelyn, John.

Memorial tributes in memory of Mary may be sent to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta, 306, 10430-61 Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6H 2J3.

Funeral service by invitation only will be held at Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville with Father Andrji Nykyforuk officiating. Pallbearers: Chris Hewak, Justin Hewak, Paul Ostashek, Richard Ostashek, Jordon Ostashek, Joey Romanchuk. Interment to take place at Scared Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
